Although I never met Ralph, I knew him through his sister, Betty Faye. She and I worked together at the state, and had become friends through our love of garage sales. I know she passed away a year ago. She and Ralph were devoted to each other. She told me many things
about him. She also mentioned the marble contests. The picture of him shooting marbles
will become a good memorial to him.
I know they are finally together along with their brother. I also have a picture of Samuel
on a John Deere tractor. Would like to send it to Samuel. The picture was taken when he
was about 4 years old.
May you all know that Ralph will be missed. He, for some reason, has been on my mind the
last few days. Betty talked many time about how Ralph helped her and the friends in his
community. The two of them were alike in a lot of ways.
To the other members of Ralph's family, I send my condolences to you also.
Sincerely,
Sandra Nighbert
