Nellie Denton

Mrs. Nellie Denton, age 94, of Moss, TN, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Upton Hay Funeral Home with Jason Dodson officiating and interment in the Plumlee-Denton Family Cemetery on Saturday January 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation with the family will be Friday, January 28, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until time for the service.

She is survived by her sons, Tim Denton and James (Johnnie) Denton; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; brother, Amos Green; sister, Minnie Green; daughter in law, Margaret Denton; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was also proceeded in death by her spouse, Carlos Denton; son, William (Shorty) Denton; granddaughter, Lisa Ann Denton Parker; great-granddaughter, Tracy Abbagail Smith; sisters Dianna Green and Bessie Darugherty; and brother, James Green.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Macedonia Cemetery fund.
