Joe Donald Bailey

Mr. Joe Donald Bailey, age 81, of Clay County, TN passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

There will be a private family service followed by a graveside service on Monday, August 17, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. in the Bailey Family Cemetery. All Mandates for social distancing WILL be enforced.

Note: In accordance with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order 38, all persons at funerals are strongly encouraged to follow the Health Guidelines and maintain appropriate social distancing as provided for herein to the greatest extent practicable, although it is further strongly encouraged that any large public celebration component of weddings and funerals be postponed or attended only by close family members. This information is subject to change per recommendation by the Federal Government and CDC.

Absolutely NO food allowed in the funeral home until further notice.

Social distancing will be practiced and no touching is encouraged.

Joe is survived by 1 son, William Joseph Bailey of East Tennessee;  1 daughter, Nicole D. Dixon of  Cookeville, TN; 2 grandchildren Rachel Bailey and Cameron Dixon; 1 sister, Frances Bailey Tayes and husband, Tim of Carlisle, OH; 2 sisters-in-law, Joyce Bailey of Avon, IN and Virginia Bailey of Cookeville, TN; nieces and nephews, Janet Bailey, Jeff B. Bailey, Chris Tayse, Mark, and Sherry Bailey, and Mandy Laughlin; special great-niece Sarah Laughlin;  as well as many cousins, friends, and neighbors also survive.
