Elise Thompson

Elise Thompson, age 88, of Nashville TN passed away on October 22, 2021. She was born and raised in Celina, TN, residing in the Pea Ridge community. Around 1968, the family relocated to Nashville. She was a homemaker most of her life, but did work as a seamstress at Castner Knott and as a volunteer at Nashville Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong member of the Churches of Christ, most recently being a member at the Madison Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by husband Fowler Thompson, parents Biddle and Hazel Gray, brothers James Bethel Gray, Billy Fay Gray, Bobby Clay Gray and sister Barbara Thompson Williams all of Celina, TN.

She survived by one daughter, Rose Marie Ankenbauer and son in law Allen Ankenbauer of Hendersonville, TN and one granddaughter, Katherine Elise Ankenbauer, Birmingham, AL.

She is survived by  brother Roger (Jan) Gray, sisters Wanda Sue (Slim) Thompson and Betty Jean (Billy) Webb, all of Celina, TN,  2 sisters in law, Evon Gray and Pat Gray White; as well as several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to Thompson Webb cemetery fund or the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort (P.O Box 111180 Nashville TN 37222-1180). There will be a grave site service at the Thompson Webb cemetery on Fire Hall Rd in the Pea Ridge community of Clay County on Tuesday October 26 at 11:30 AM. No public viewing will be held.
