Cecil Elbert Poindexter

Mr. Cecil Elbert Poindexter, age 91, of Celina, TN, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Upton-Hay Funeral Home Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Benji Bailey and Willie Kerr officiating and interment to follow in the Ashlock Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. until time for the service.

He is survived by his children, Harold (Freda) Poindexter, Darryl Poindexter, Carol (Denny) Spears; grandchildren, Kaylan (Eddie) Linder, Courtney Cummins, Keshia (Chris) Boone, Mallory (T.J,) Birdwell, Kela (Jimmy) Lynn, and Casey Tinsley; great grandchildren, Luke and Sophie Linder, Ella, Max, Caroline, and Walker Cummins, Weston, Lila, and Reid Birdwell, Colton, Corbin, Darci, and Clayton Smith, Kaylee and Kenlee Lynn; step great grandchildren Layla, Cecilia, and Gavin Boone as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn his passing.

The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Ashlock Cemetery.
