W. A. "Billy" Strong, 88

Celina– Funeral Services for W. A. "Billy" Strong, 88 of Celina will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 at Upton Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Moss, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday at Upton Funeral Home

Mr. Strong passed away Tuesday, April 02, 2013 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, Tennessee.

Billy was born September 2, 1924 in Clay Co., Tennessee to the late Mose J. and Docia Lena (Reecer) Strong. Billy married the late Lattie Lee Perrin on May 12, 1945. Lattie preceded him in death on January 14, 2003.  Beside his parents and wife, Billy was preceded in death by son, Billy Lee "Butch" Strong, Daughters, Gloria Strong and Linda Carol Rich, and brother, Willie Martin Strong. Billy was self employed mechanic.

He is survived by his daughters, Joyce (Billy) Halsell of Red Boiling Springs, TN and Martha (Ronnie) Green of Lebanon, TN, Son-in-Law, Tim Rich of Celina, TN, Brothers, Phillip, Paul, Malcom, and Junior B. Strong all of Moss, TN, Sisters, Vishia Goolsby, Evelyn Brown, and Janie Smith all of Moss, TN, Grandchildren, Robin Kerr, Bryan Halsell, Melissa Roach, Johnny Rich, Jamie Green, William Strong, Chris Green, Leslie Wix, Elizabeth Copas, and Andy Green. 22 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great-Granchildren. Serving as pallbearers were: William Strong, Johnny Rich, James Green, Chris Green, Andy Green, and Briley Rich.

Memorial contributions are to be made to the Macedonia Cemetery.
