Mr. Wendell Wilkerson, age 65 of Whitleyville, TN died on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Overton County Health & Rehabilitation Center in Livingston, TN.

He was born September, 18, 1950 in Frankfort, Indiana to the late Fosh and Jewell (Dodson) Wilkerson. His brother, Danny Wilkerson also preceded him in death. He worked as a carpet installer for most of his adult career after his decorated service in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his son, Adam Short of Glasgow, Kentucky. Several cousins as well as a host of friends also mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Wendell Wilkerson will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Upton-Hay Funeral Home. Ray Clements will officiate and interment will follow in the Cherry Cemetery in Clay County, TN. Family and friends will serve as pall bearers.

Visitation with the family will be at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home on Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
