Vishia Strong Goolsby, 91

Celina– Funeral Services for Vishia Strong Goolsby, age 91 , of Celina, TN, will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Moss, TN with Brothers Paul "Cricket" Strong & Billy Michael Stinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Moss, TN. Her Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Vishia Strong Goolsby passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, KY.

She was born December 24, 1922 in Clay County, Tennessee to the late Mose J. and Docia Lena (Reecer) Strong. She was married to John Henry Goolsby on February 6, 1942 who preceded her in death on October 25, 2011, they were married for 70 years. She was a supervisor for Indianapolis Metro Bus Company and a member at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Other than her parents & husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy, Willie Martin & John Miller Strong

She is survived by her Daughters, Patricia (Rex) Retherford of Safety Harbor, FL, Connie (Stephen) Keers of Indianapolis, IN & Kathy (Donald) Basso of Winter Haven, FL

Brothers, Phillip (Sue) Strong, Paul (Christine) Strong, Malcom (Wanda) Strong & Junior B. (Emma Jean) Strong all of Moss, TN

Sisters, Evelyn (James) Brown & Janie Smith all of Moss, TN

13 Grandchildren, Laurel Barnes, Amy Gregory, David & Bradley Retherford, Angela Woodcock, John Keers, Mary Hambleton, Stephen Keers, Paula Delong, Richard, Kevin & Eric Basso & Vishia Talbot,  22 Great Grandchildren & 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
