Ms. Virginia Smith, age 78, of Livingston, TN, formerly of Clay County, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of The Upton-Hay Funeral Home, Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., with Kenny Westmoreland officiating and interment to follow in the Fellowship Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service.

She is survived by her mother, Christine (Roach) Capps; 1 son, Billy-Teakettle- (Cheryl) Smith; 2 daughters, Gwenith (Roy) Gore, and Shirley Rosine (Greg Partin); 2 brothers, James Capps and  Mitchell (Phyllis) Capps; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Geesling, Amy Stalker, Mikie, Kelly, Alicia Labrock, Jason Bilbrey, Carla Grace, Junior and Anthony Smith; 25 great grandchildren, Dylan, Emily, Allie, Mason, Westyn, Montey, Ethan, Ariann, Jasper Kasto, Selina, Sabrina, Tori, Alanya, Bryson, Landon, Jailee, Hadalee, Hayden, Zeke, Natalie, Isabella, Billy and Grayson; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn her passing.

Absolutely NO food allowed in the funeral home until further notice.

Social distancing will be practiced and no touching is encouraged.
