Susie Kay Johnson, age 63, of Bloomfield, Indiana, formerly of Bloomington, died Sunday at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Born October 4, 1950 in Celina, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Robert Wright and Mary Lee (Gray) Davis. She was a nurse's aid in Jackson County, Tennessee and later at Bloomington Home Health Aid and at the Bloomington Hospitality House. She loved fishing, camping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving family, her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Belle and Tracy Don Kelley, of Bloomfield; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Allen Johnson and Robert Leon and Jennifer Mae (Scharbrough) Johnson, all of Bloomfield, eight grandchildren, six great-granddaughters and two brothers, Junior Davis, of Ellettsville and Leon Davis, of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her husband, Robert A. Johnson, on July 3, 2005, mother and father-in-law, George S. "Penny" and Nancy Ollie-Bell (Key) Johnson, several brothers, one sister, aunts and uncles, two sons in infancy and two nephews.
The funeral service held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Upton Funeral Home in Celina, Tennessee. Burial will follow in the Key Family Cemetery.
