R.V., better known as, "Babe", Cherry, age 78, of the Union Hill Community of Clay County passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Upton Funeral Home and interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2016 from4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the Upton Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Lee (Short) Cherry of the Union Hill community of Clay County, TN, daughters, Tammy Cherry of Moss, TN, Melinda Bishop and companion, Jr. Wiggins of Wartrace, TN, brothers, Willard Cherry of Hendersonville, TN, Wilburn Cherry and wife, Jackie of Hermitage, TN, Odell Cherry and wife Brenda of the Oak Grove community in Clay County, TN, sister, Judy Irwin and husband, Jimmy of Dickson, TN, brother and sisters-in-law, Dean Price and husband, Joe of Indianapolis, IN, J.C. Short and wife Patty of Brentwood, TN, Joan Short of Cookeville, TN. 3 grandchildren, Miranda Rush, Victoria Wiggins and Jay Wiggins all of Wartace, TN also survive.
