Funeral of Local Interest:

Mr. Omer Collins, age 84, of Rockwood, TN, and formerly of Celina, TN passed away at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN on Sunday, September 8, 2019.

Omer was born in Clay County, TN on Friday, December 21, 1934, to Porter and Esteline (Spivey) Collins. Omer was a hard-working man who spent his life's career as a Laboratory Technician. He enjoyed life and especially cherished his family.

Omer married Margie Ann Roddy on May 20, 1959. They completed their family by the addition of 3 sons, Cutis Allen, Gary, and Dale.

Omer was a faithful member of the Rockwood Church of Christ serving at many capacities such as but not limited to Deacon and Elder.

Omer is survived by his beloved wife, Margie Ann Collis; 3 sons, Curtis Allen Collins of Rockwood, TN, Gary Collins and wife, Rhonda of Harriman, TN and Dale Collins of Rockwood, TN; 5 grandchildren, Robert Collins, Zachary Collins, Miranda Collins, Levi Collins, And Maya Collins; 4 sisters, Elise Lancaster and Buna Likens both of the Union Hill Community of Clay County, TN, Velma Gass and husband, Shelva of Moss, TN and Elaene Collins of Jackson, TN; 3 brothers, Comer Collins and wife, Linda of Gallatin, TN, Domer Collins of Lebanon, TN and Jerry Collins of the Union Hill Community of Clay County, TN;  as well as other family, friends and neighbors who also mourn his passing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Rockwood Church of Christ.
