Nella Dean Sims Watson, age 85, of Celina passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her residence in Celina, TN. She was born in Clay County in the Big McFarland area on December 21, 1930 to the late Franklin Parish Sims and Estelle Coe Sims. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Leland Watson. They were married on October 18, 1969. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Katheleen Sims and Nola Jean Mink and a nephew, Denton Ray Mink. She was a retired from South Central Bell in Nashville, TN. She worked 18 years of her career at Indiana Bell. She was an active member of the Moss Church of Christ.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Upton-Hay Funeral Home . Brother Dennis Miller will officiate and interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery in the Pea Ridge Community of Clay County, TN. Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home .

Nella is survived by Cornell Sims and wife Alice of  Indianapolis, Indiana, brother-in-law, Doyle Mink, 2 nieces, Shirley Hockman and Voletta Meyer and 3 nephews, Steven Hockman, Larry Sims and David Mink. A host of great-nieces and great-nephews as well as many special friends also survive.
