Mitchell Jay Boles

Mr. Mitchell Jay Boles, age 17, of Celina, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clay County High School Gymnasium with Kenny Westmoreland officiating. Visitation with the family will be Friday, August 28, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until time for the service in the Clay County High School Gymnasium.

He was born on Monday, May 18, 2009, to Hanna (Brown) and Ray Boles. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray Boles and Doris Glidewell.

Mitchell was a student at Clay County High School. He was a prideful member of the fishing team.

He enjoyed fishing, yardwork, particularly, using his leaf blower, and Auburn football. He couldn’t have loved and cared for his friends anymore if they had been part of his family, every one of them. Mitchell had the heart of a true servant and a smile that would light up the darkest of rooms. He will leave a lasting impression on all those who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his parents Ray and Hanna Boles; grandparents, Clyde and Peggy Brown; special papa, Sam Glidewell; aunts Ruth Ann Boles, and Julie (Steve) Wilbourn; as well as a host of friends and classmates that will mourn his passing.

The family request no flowers, instead donations be made to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
