Oak Grove Community  – Funeral Services for Lex Pennington age 74 of Oak Grove Community in Clay County will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Upton Funeral Home with Gary Wilder officiating interment to follow in the Clementsville Cemetery. Visitation 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. Saturday & 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Upton Funeral Home

Lex Edward Pennington passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, Tennessee.

Lex Edward Pennington was born May 22, 1939 in Clay County, Tennessee to the late Rufus Jackson "Jack" and Ova A. (Ritter) Pennington. Lex was a member of the Clementsville Church of Christ and a Mason Lodge # 669 Indianapolis he also was a Nascar fan.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by step-son, Troy Swan.

He is survived by daughter, Kimberly Pennington (Frankie) of Portland, TN.; Step-daughter, Linda Gail (Gary) Whitaker of Lafayette, TN.; Brothers, Dr. Vanus Pennington of Georgia, Willard Pennington and David Pennington of Indiana
