James Clay Waddell, 74

Chattanooga– Funeral Services for James Clay Waddell, 74 of Chattanooga, formerly of Celina,  will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Upton Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Fitzgerald Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Upton Funeral Home

Mr. Waddell passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

James Clay was born August 06, 1938 in Clay Co., Tennessee to the late Thomas Bedford Waddell and Inez Nelma (Swann) Mytinger.  James Clay was affiliated with the Church of Christ and attended the Celina Church of Christ in his youth.

He is survived by, Son, Eric Waddell of Dalton, Georgia, brothers, Gary Thomas Waddell of Carmel, Indiana and Steve Waddell of Cartersville, Georgia, one half sister, Melissa Waddell of Tennessee and 3 nieces and nephew, Christopher, Jennifer, and Ginger.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, John Gordon Waddell in 2009.
