James V. Long, better known as "Shorty" passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at at his residence in Celina, TN.

He was born November 12, 1934 in Clay County, TN to the late Herbert and Loretta (Cunningham) Long. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Lovie (Carmack) Long,  and brother, Arden Long. Besides being a husband, father and friend, Shorty spent most of his adult life working as a machinist.

He is survived by his Daughter,  Jamie Long and her husband, Burrell Johnson of Cookeville, Brother, Jack Long and his wife, Ollie of Celina and Shelia Long of Celina.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
