Mr. and Mrs. James & Dorthula Spurlock

LEBANON – Funeral Services for James "Butch" Spurlock, age 65, and Dorthula Spurlock, age 67, of Lebanon, TN, formerly of Celina, will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2013 at Upton Funeral Home. The interment will follow in the Fitzgerald Cemetery in Celina, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be from 3 to 10 pm on Thursday and 8 am - 2 pm on Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Spurlock passed away Monday, October 07, 2013 at the Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage, Tennessee as the result of an automobile accident.

James Carlos Spurlock, Jr. was born November 9, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late James Carlos Spurlock, Sr. and Ruby Moline Coffelt.

Dorthula Hamilton was born January 28, 1948 in Clay Co., Tennessee to Willie Bedford "Billy" Hamilton and the late Josephine (Napier) Hamilton.

James and Dorthula married June 1966 in Clay County, Tennessee. James was a retired salesman for Meadow Homes. Dorthula was a retired security for a medical office. They were affiliated with the Church of Christ.

They are survived by their son, David (Linda) Spurlock of Tompkinsville, KY.; Grandchildren, Brook and Caitlyn Spurlock & Josh Geralds; her father, Billy Hamilton – Celina, TN.; her Brother, James (Donna) Hamilton – Moss, TN.; Nieces and Nephews, Jennifer Kutz, Heather (Joseph) Burnette, Megan (Bart) Smith, Lindsey (Dustin) Kennedy, Mackenzie Hamilton, and Brian Korth; Great-Nieces and nephews, Jacob Burnette, Katie Burnette, Kori Smith, Dank Smith, Clay Smith, Waylon Kennedy, and Ima Smith.
