Mr. Hugh Tim Cherry, age 70, of Moss TN, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at The Monroe County Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Upton Hay Funeral Home with Kenny Westmoreland officiating and interment to follow in the Moss Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 1, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, January 3, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until time for the service.

He is survived by his spouse, Donnita (Brown) Cherry; son, Hugh Brian (Beverly) Cherry; daughter, Deanna (William) Cherry; granddaughters, Brooklyn (Cody) Collins and Bridget Cherry; great-grandson, Kyler Collins; brother, Travis (Shirley) Cherry; sisters, Geneal Rich and Inez Copass; a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn his passing.

Tim was born Friday, December 14, 1951, in Monroe County, KY to the late Omas Cordell and Winnie (Plumlee) Cherry. In addition to his father, he was also proceeded in death by three sisters, Lena Geralds, Runell Kemp and Carol Sue Cherry.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
