Gainesboro, TN- Evelyn Young Smith age 85 of Gainesboro,
TN passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at Livingston Hospital in Livingston, TN.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Upton Funeral Home in Celina, TN, interment will follow in the Turkeytown Cemetery

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, July 13, 2014 1 to 3 p.m. and Monday after 8 a.m. till service time.

She was born November 24, 1928 in Jackson County, TN to the late Arthur Lee and Margaret (Stone) Young. She married Elmer F. Smith, who preceded her in death April 6, 1988.

She was a retired secretary at Kay's Ice Cream Co. in Knoxville and a member of the Burristown Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents & husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur Stone, Frank & Billy Young, sisters, Helen Schneider, Bessie Armsworth & Dorothy Louise Savage.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Patterson (husband Robert E.) of Knoxville, brothers, Estil F. Young of Gainesboro, Jesse "Jip" Young of Hilham, sister, Sue Lancaster of Moss & a host of nieces, nephews & cousins.
