Ms. Elvie Artie Coe age 94 of Indianapolis, IN and formerly of Celina, TN passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at her residence.

Artie was born in Clay County, TN on Saturday, March 8, 1924 to the late Jack and Allie (Walker) McLerran. Other than her parents Artie was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas, 1 daughter, Runell, 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Artie was a very kind hard-working woman who was very committed to her family. Artie worked at Gamaliel Garment Factory for many years. Artie married Delmas Coe on September 19, 1944 and into their union 2 daughters, Ila and Runell were born. Artie was a devoted Christian and a member of the Church of Christ.

Artie is survived by 1 daughter, Ila Sexton and husband, Jim of Indianapolis, IN; 2 sisters, Nina Reecer and Coleen Rich both of Celina, TN; 1 grandson, Ron Sexton and wife, Tracey of Dunedin, FL; 4 great-grandchildren, Eric, Abbie, Alex and Aliah Sexton as well as a host of other family and friends who also mourn her passing.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Bailey Cemetery.
