Elise White Poindexter, 85

CELINA– Funeral Services for Elise White Poindexter, 85 of Celina will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Upton Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Tinsley Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Upton Funeral Home.

Elise Poindexter passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, Tennessee.

Elise was born March 25, 1927 to the late Palmer Lee & Mary Bell (Cox) White. Elise married the late Kenneth Bethel Poindexter.  Elise was a beautician in Celina for many years and member of the Cave Springs Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, George and Jessie White.

She is survived by Sons & daughters-in-law, Ricky (Marilou) Poindexter, Jerry (Janet) Poindexter, and Ronnie (Kathy) Poindexter all of Celina, TN, Wanda Meadows of Celina, TN, Sisters, Etta Fairchild & Shirley Huddleston of Indianapolis, IN, 7 grandchildren, Kenny Meadows, Angela Reed, Lisa Fleming, Laura Miles, Mark Poindexter, Matthew Poindexter, and Julie Brehime, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Robert Westmoreland, Derrick Anderson, Matthew and Mark Poindexter, Jack Tinsley, Kenny Meadows and Larry Scott and Rob Edwards serving as pallbearers.
