Mr. Edward Hatcher, age 72, of the Mt. Vernon Community, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Anthony Knight officiating and interment to follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Monday, June 30, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time for the service.

He is survived by his sons, Shawn Hatcher and Shannon Hatcher; grandchildren, Shawna Warner, Alexandria Hatcher, Kaylena Hatcher, Jerad Hatcher, Brittany Hatcher, Ray Hatcher, Tequila Hatcher, and Caden Dyer; great-grandchildren, Dean Warner, Abigail Dennes, Elena Warner, and baby Navy due in November; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn his passing.
