Edith Irene Boone, 93

CELINA– Funeral Services for Edith Irene Boone, 93 of Celina will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Upton Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Fitzgerald Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday 8:00 a.m. till service time at 1:00 p.m. at Upton Funeral Home.

Irene Boone passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Celina Health and Rehabilitation in Celina, Tennessee.

Edith Irene Perdue was born October 31, 1919 in Clay Co., Tennessee to the late Walter Clark & Ethel Esther (Rich) Perdue. Irene married the late Luther Raymond Boone on December 04, 1938 in Clay County. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Arms, brother, Arnum Perdue. Irene was a homemaker and a member of the Celina Church of Christ.

She is survived by Sons & daughters-in-law, Walter (Donna) Boone of Gallatin, TN, James Daniel (Judi) Boone of Gainesboro, TN, Ronald Boone of Celina, TN,  Donald (Margie) Boone and Luther (Debbie) Boone, Jr. both of Moss, TN, Daughters & sons-in-law, Elizabeth (Don) Benz of St. Louis, Missouri, Martha Ann (Ted) Salwin of South Bend, IN, Daisy (Dave) Morgan of Minden, Nevada, and Gladys (Terry) Dyer of Lenoir City, TN, Brother, Dudley "Cotton" Perdue of Hestand, KY, Sister, Georgia Lowe  of Robbinsville, NC and Alice Poindexter of Celina, TN and 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren
