Mr. Coell Smith also known as Smitty, age 81 of Columbus, IN and Moss, TN passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home.  Jimmy Cook will officiate and burial will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at Upton-Hay Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, from 8:00 a.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m. at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home.

Coell is survived by his wife, Anna Belle Smith of Columbus, IN and Moss, TN; 1 daughter, Shelia Lyle of Edinburg, IN and 1 step-daughter, Diane Rice of Englewood, FL; brothers, Jack Smith and wife, Laura Belle and Neal Smith and wife, Debbie all of the Union Hill Community of Clay County, TN; sisters, Gin Pharris of the Union Hill Community of Clay County, TN, Brenda Browning and husband, Doug and Sherry George and husband, Jeff all of Red Boiling Springs, TN; 1 granddaughter, Shana Brooks and husband, Billy and 1 step grandson, Justin Rice; 3 great grandchildren, Shaylee, Baylee, and Macaylee Brooks as well as a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
