Mrs. Christine Capps, age 96, of Cookeville, formerly of Celina TN, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 in Cookeville, TN.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Upton Hay Funeral Home, with Ken Miller officiating and interment to follow in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until time for the service.

Christine was born Tuesday, July 20, 1924 on Pea Ridge, a community Clay County, TN to the late Bedford and Laura (Daniels) Roach. In addition to her parents, she was also proceeded in death by her husband, Ben Capps; daughter Virginia Smith and granddaughter Deborah Smith.

She is survived by 2 sons, James Capps and Mitchell (Phyllis) Capps; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great grandchild as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn her passing.
