Mr. Champ Steven Smith, age 66, of Celina, TN, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Upton Hay Funeral Home with Nick Melton officiating and interment to follow in the Moss Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, November 3, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time for the funeral.

He was born on Sunday, May 24, 1959, to the late Glynn and Dorothy (Birdwell) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Smith

He is survived by his spouse, Vickie Smith; daughter, Muriel Melton (Nick); grandchildren, Cameron Burks (Andrew), Warner, Nixon, McKenna, Mia Melton, Colton McLerran, Chloe Retz, Corey Jr., Cheyenne Retz, and Shayla Mae Brown; brother, Mike Smith (Suzanne); sister, Rhonda Bailey (Steve); step son, Brian Brown; step daughter, Brandi McLerran; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn his passing.
