CELINA– Funeral Services for Cecil Frank Langford, age 85, of Celina will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Upton Funeral Home with Kenny Westmoreland officiating interment to follow in the McDonald Cemetery. Visitation 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Upton Funeral Home.

Cecil Frank Langford passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, Cecil Frank Langford was born July 16, 1928 in Clay County, Tennessee to Robert Vivian and Ora C. (Randolf) Langford. Cecil married Frances Pennington on February 6, 1948.  He was a retired farmer, Clay County Judge Executive 4 years, County Commission 8 years, School Board & Farm Bureau Board member 30 years, Manager of Clay County Farmers Coop., has a bridge named in his & his later wife Frances honor on new Hwy. 52 and a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by sons, Champ Langford and wife, Janiceof Celina and Cecil Junior Langford & wife, Connie of Celina; Daughter, Kathy Langford Halfacre & husband, Robert of Cookeville; Sister, Reba Boles Hilham, TN, Brother, Haskell Langford Nashville, TN; Six Grandchildren, Brad Halfacre, Edmond Langford, Nathan Langford, Allison Halfacre Stafford, Andrea Langford and Gretta Langford Krieg and 9 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Forrest, Minor, Grady, & Howard Langford, and Sister, Pauline Hawkins, Martha Allen, and Mary Spivey.
