Mr. Bennie Reed Plumlee, age 101, of Moss, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Monroe County Medical Center.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Moss Cemetery. Masonic Rites will be conducted in the chapel of the Upton Hay Funeral Home Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, March 24, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

Bennie Reed was joined in marriage on January 3, 1942 with Mary Estelyne Kendall and were happily married for 53 years, until her death in 1995. They were both great role models and help for all the nieces and nephews.

He is survived by special niece, Barbara Jo Hammer, special great niece, Nikki Lynn Stamm, and special great-great niece, Sydney Stamm; nieces, Judy Garrison, Sue Reecer, Myra Haley, Regina Hollaway, Nita Kuhns, Rhonda Anderson, Wanda Abney, Lorraine Swope, Teresa Kendall, Kathy Vermilion, Cindy Fermug, Becky Shemo, Patty Hiday, Julie Conwell, and Jill Stage; nephews, Travis Cherry, Henry Plumlee, Mike Kendall, Dewaine Cherry, Troy Kendall, and Ricky Kendall; sister-in-laws, Evelyn Cherry and Jo Edna Bardonner; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn his passing.
