Shirley Ann Meadows

Mrs. Shirley Ann Meadows, age 74, of Moss, TN passed away at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Sunday, September 15, 2019.

Shirley was born in Clay County TN on Monday, November 6, 1944, to the late Joel and Nannie (Melton) Rogers.

Shirley joined Russell in marriage in 1960 and completed their family by adding their son, Terry.

Shirley was a hard-working woman who spent most of her adult career working in garment factories. She adored her family and friends and especially cherished her time with her grandchildren. Shirley had a love for quilting, refinishing furniture, mostly antiques. Her kind, gentle spirit allowed for a special love for all animals.

Shirley loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the New Hope Church of Church.

Shirley is survived by her devoted husband, Russell Meadows of Moss, TN; 1 son Terry “Moose” Meadows and companion, Bonnie McLerran of Cookeville, TN; 2 grandchildren, Leanna Smith and husband, Noel of Rickman, TN and William Meadows and wife, Heather of Moss, TN as well as a bonus grandson, Andrew Walker of the Union Hill Community of Clay County, TN; 1 great-grandson, Weston Smith; special daughter-in-law, Sarah Meadows of Moss, TN, as well as many friends and neighbors who also mourn her passing.

She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
