John Nolan Copeland

John Nolan Copeland, age 16, of Celina, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2019, at the Clay County High School. Kenny Westmoreland, Craig Ogletree, and Eric Copas will officiate and burial will follow in the Copeland Family Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at the Clay County High School, on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, December 19, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

John is survived by his parents, Randy and Charlotte Copeland of Celina, TN; brother, Matt Copeland, and wife, Ashley of Celina, TN and their children, Mason, Turner and Baylor; sister, Olivia Clements and husband, Jake of Celina, TN; nurturer and provider of unconditional love and guidance, Joyce Roach of Celina, TN; grandparents, Charlie and Vickie Copeland of Celina, TN; young ladies who he held forever in his heart, Rachel Copas and Taegan Atchley as well as a host of other family and friends who also mourn his passing; but none as much as his closest friends, Dalton Goad, Jacob Burnette, Collin Dodson, Seth Eads, Pez Davis, Allen Scott and his brotherly friends that will remain together as family forever, Owen Browning, Will Ogletree, and Cale McBride.

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John’s greatest influences in life were Rex Short and Raymond Tarter, known to John as ‘Granpappy’, who preceded him in death.
