Mr. Champ Webb, age 79 of the Pea Ridge Community of Clay County, TN passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home.  Jim Blankenship will officiate and interment will be in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be at Upton-Hay Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday from, 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home.

Champ was born Friday, May 21, 1937 in Celina, TN to Andrew Jackson and Mirtie (Roach) Webb. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty (Scott) Webb and 4 brothers, Domer, Clyde, Clifford and A.G. Webb, 3 sisters, Ova Webb, Flossie Thompson and Ruth Davis, 1 step-granddaughter, Tahala Cheyenne and 2 nephews, Reed Webb and Randall Webb. Throughout his life Champ served in many roles but being a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend was especially important to him.  Champ was an independent truck driver for most of his life and a member of the Rock Springs Church of Christ.

Champ is survived by his Son, Steve Webb of Celina, TN; 1 grandson, Stephen Webb of Celina, TN; Sisters-in-law, Peggy Riley and husband, Lecil of Cumberland County, KY and Peggy Webb of Cross Plains, TN; Several Nieces and Nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews as well as a host of friends also mourn his passing.
