John Harvey “J.H.” Gass, 85

MOSS – Funeral Services for John Harvey “J.H.” Gass, 85 of Moss will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2013 at Upton Funeral Home, Dennis Miller officiated interment will follow in the Moss Cemetery.  

John Harvey Gass passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, Tennessee.

John Harvey Gass was born May 3, 1927 in Clay Co., Tennessee to the late Herman & Beulah (Copas) Gass. John married Erma Lee (McLerran) Gass on March 14, 1948. He was also preceded in death by brother, Chester Gass. He was a retired foreman for J.B. Cassetty Lumber Company and a member of the Moss Church of Christ.

He is survived by wife, Erma Lee Gass of Moss, Tennessee; son, Michael Kevin Gass of Nashville, Tennessee; daughters, Patricia Darlene Wood of Shelbyville, Tennessee and Deborah Kaye (Alan) West of Celina, Tennessee; brothers, Randell (Juanita) Gass of Mt. Vernon, Tennessee and Shelva (Velma) Gass of Moss, Tennessee; sister, Creola (Billy) Davis of Greenwood, Indiana; sister-in-law, Pauline Gass of Hermitage Springs, Tennessee; grandchildren, Chistopher Dale Wood, Gregory Austin Wood, Jonathon Lee West, Leslie Christeen Cosgrove, Victoria Rachel Wood, Brent Alexander Gass, Russell Preston West and  Amanda Michelle Gass and 4 great grandchildren
