Mr. James Bravender, age 85 of Whitleyville, TN and formerly of Nassau, NY died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN..

James was born in Anchrum, NY on August 31, 1930.  Throughout his life he was first a loving husband, father, and friend who served in many roles including a truck driver  with Green Forest from which he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elizabeth ( Workman) Bravender, 1 sister, Jane Smith and 1 brother, George Bravender..

James is survived by his Wife, Elizabeth ( Kunth) Bravender for which he married August 5, 1950. There were 5 sons, James William Bravender of Whitleyville, TN, Donald Matthew Bravender of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Daniel George Bravender of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Rody Bravender of Whitleyville, TN and Roby Bravender of Whitleyville, TN and 1 daughter, Linda Bravender of Arizona born into their loving union. 7 grandchilren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside Services for James Bravender will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at a private family cemetery. His sons will serve as active pallbearers. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
